James Monro gains "Visit Britain" Accreditation
This month we received the Silver Award from the national scheme to reward exceptional local restaurants. The scheme is called Taste and is run by Visit Britain to national standards.
The award is only given to those restaurants that have a verifiable record in sourcing locally, have staff who are trained to deal with disability, have high quality decor and service standards.
All of this is topped off with a secret visit by a Visit Britain inspector. We were 4 points away from Gold which puts us in the realm of the United Kingdoms top restaurants within our class.
We are often asked if running a restaurant is like Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, put it this way, in the five years we've been running restaurants we've certainly seen a few sights along the way.
The Taste Accreditation Scheme shows that all of the hardwork by everyone at The James Monro has paid off.
