Welcome to The James Monro, a sister Gastropub to the multi-award winning The Monro, one of Liverpool's finest restaurants. We have worked hard to create an atmospheric dining experience that shouts "quality" with every bite.
The James Monro is located in one Liverpool's prettiest streets, the area has been used for filming very grand New York street scenes and the location benefits from some of Liverpool's finest architecture.
Situated a 2 minute walk from Moorfields, Tithebarn streets runs parallel to Victoria and Dale Street accross the northern part of the city centre. We don't pretend to be in the "thick of it", with people shoving their shopping bags around, we like it just the way it is - a short walk from the madding crowd and sat within splendid architecture.
A short walk down hill takes you to the church of St. Nicholas and its gardens, from there the Liver Buildings and 3 Graces stand watch on the river front. It's worth a romantic stroll at any time of the year.
Part bustling bar, part friendly local restaurant, The James Monro combines a large ground floor bar with a cosy snug, complete with an open fire in Winter.
